Modify your music files metadata information using iTunes for Mac
You can fix errors or set information, but this is a one-way street. Here's how to prepare it.

With all the features Apple has embedded in iTunes for macOS, it's an app's Swiss Army knife (or maybe like a 20-pound potato in a five-pound bag). But despite all this, there are no warnings or no outages. My Tough Tips Before Making Bulk Metadata Changes to iTunes:
> If you have the iCloud Music Library (via iTunes Match or Apple Music) enabled, make sure the files you want to edit have been downloaded to your Mac and are in the cloud Are not safe. (Make sure that this September 2018 column is available for your music to be downloaded locally [go.macworld.com/trfr].
Make a full backup of your iTunes Media folder. You can make sure that you are backing up the correct folder by looking in iTunes → Preferences → Advanced, where the iTunes Media Folder location is listed. Now you can move forward with a pinch option.
> Select multiple items in iTunes.
> Select Edit Info Learn Information.
> For any field in the description that has multiple entries, you will see either the word "mixed" (for text) or a dash (-) for a number. You can edit these entries and any of these audio sections, iTunes Music Files can help you. In particular, you can bulk edit or modify information about the metadata files.
But beware! These changes were made to files, not just iTunes, and will apply to every song you select
Click OK. No need to go back: iTunes instantly updates the metadata in selected files.
