1.SAVE LIVE PHOTOS AS GIF
Direct images on both sides of your photo capture seconds of animation. You can see the dynamic. To capture live images, press the centered circles at the top of the Camera app, Camera app. Using a pre-installed Photos app on your iPhone turns into a GIF.
1. Open the Photos app and find the live image you want to convert to GIF. You can easily find them by selecting Albums at the bottom of the app, then scrolling through the MediaType list. Live images are one of the choices.
2. Once you have selected a live image, drag it upwards. You will see a list of effects, a map where the photo was taken, and see image categories.
3. Select a loop or bounce animation. That's all you need to do! If you open the share menu to send the GIF in email or use it in Tweet, it will send it as a GIF. In the Albums screen, under the header of MediaTypes, you'll see one of the options dynamically. You can find all your live photos in GIFs there

2.USE A SHORTCUT TO CREATE A GIFT FROM VIDEO OR BURST PHOTOS
If you hold the shutter button on your iPhone's camera app, you will get a much faster succession of steel images at full resolution. It's not as smooth as a live picture, but the images are much higher quality and you can keep shooting for several seconds. There is no built-in way to convert burst shots to GIFs, but you can easily do so via the shortcut app.
1. Make sure you have a shortcuts app. (Go - Mac World / Skate).
2. Download this Convert Burst to GIF (Go - macworld.com/cbst) shortcut.
3. Run the shortcut. This will show a list of all your broken photos. Select one, and wait a few seconds until it is converted to GIF.
4. Select what happened and you'll be prompted to share the GIF or save it in the photo. Want to do the same thing with a video instead of a burst photo? Try it out.
3. Use an app like Gypsy
Of course, there are more ways to create GIFs. Dedicated apps for creating GIFs let you shoot new videos, add stickers, text, and AR effects and more. One of our favorites is Gapi. It lets you browse and share the site's large library of GIFs, snap photos or videos from your phone's photo library, or shoot and edit new videos. GoFi (go.macworld.com/gphy) used a separate app for all GIF makers (gappy cam [go.macworld.com/gfcm]), but it was not updated since 2017. All its features have been added to the main GP app.
1. Get this video shortcut to GIF (go.macworld.com/gif).
2. Run it. You will be presented with a list of qualifying videos (one second long and one live image).
3. Is the video too long? No problem - an edit window will only crop you to the part you want to make a GIF.
4. Press Save. Then press the button at the top of the screen to save the photo or send it to a social media app, email, message, or other services.
